About
A software company that publishes what its software produces.
Rankbyspec was founded in 2026 in Hà Nội, Việt Nam, by Trần Ngọc Hùng. The company builds one product, the Rankbyspec Hub, and operates the 100 buying-guide websites that run on it. We are bootstrapped, for-profit, and independent of Amazon and of every brand our guides cover.
Why we exist
Most product recommendations online are written from opinion, affiliate incentive or a handful of hands-on tests that cannot scale. We believe the published specification sheet is the fairest starting point a shopper has, and that software can compare thousands of models on their specs more consistently than any editorial team. The Hub exists to do that comparison, write it up plainly, and keep it current without human babysitting.
What the company does
- Builds the Hub: a shared product catalog from the Amazon Creators API, an attribute engine that turns raw spec fields into the filters shoppers use, a planner that decides which guides each site needs, AI drafting with strict validators, and a signed API that feeds the sites.
- Operates the network: 100 single-topic guide sites across 10 categories, from air fryers to welders, each with its own editorial policy and affiliate disclosure. All sites are owned by Rankbyspec; we do not publish for third parties.
- Keeps it honest: prices come only from Amazon's official API and are hidden after 24 hours; no guide claims hands-on testing or quotes customer reviews; no product is ranked because of the commission it may earn.
Company facts
How revenue works
Our sites take part in the Amazon Associates Program. When a reader follows a link from a guide to Amazon and buys something, the site earns a commission. That is the company's only revenue today, and it funds the engineering work on the Hub. Commissions never influence which product is ranked where.
